GRIT CITY

Grit City has been formed to create a mixed club team based in Tacoma, WA. The long-term goal for Grit City is to create a sustainable and competitive mixed team based in the South Puget Sound. Grit City is committed to pushing individuals to improve as players on the field and supporting those around us to be the best version of ourselves off the field. We believe that frisbee can be competitive and respectful at the same time and those that play or want to play for Grit City should reflect those qualities. 

We at Grit City have come to love Tacoma and are super excited to be bringing a mixed club team to the area!

We want to treat others as we want to be treated. We strive to hold ourselves accountable for our actions and words. When we make mistakes, we own up to them. We believe that everyone should be treated with respect, this includes on and off the field. Whether it is a certain belief or how a conversation is handled on the field, respect should always be at the forefront. We Trust our teammates. Our strength lies in trusting each other. We do not play for ourselves, but for our teammates. Lastly, we strive to be competitive. We want to be a program that can go out and compete with the best of them. By implementing all of these principles we at Grit City can create an environment and team that upholds the spirit of the game and encompasses everything that makes Ultimate special.

Grit City will be hosting a 1 day Hat Tournament Fundraiser on April 5th, 2025. We would love to see all of you out there!

The goal is to have 4 total games. Games will be at Silas High School in Tacoma, WA. Teams will be randomly drawn based on player's skill/experience level. Games will start at 10am.

Please use the below google form to register. $20 to play. If you cannot afford the registration fee, please let us know and we will work out an agreement or waive the fee entirely. Finances should never be an obstacle to play frisbee.
